Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Veterinary Surgical Technician to join our team. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch support to our board-certified surgeons, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons during surgical procedures, maintaining a safe and sterile environment
  • Prepare patients for surgery, including administering medications and performing pre-anesthetic evaluations
  • Monitor anesthesia and vital signs during surgical procedures
  • Participate in post-operative care, including patient recovery and monitoring
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in veterinary technology or a related field preferred
  • Current certification as a veterinary technician (RVT or LVT) or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a veterinary surgical setting
  • Knowledge of veterinary anesthesia and surgical procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
