**Job Summary**

CommUnityCare is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Support Specialist to join our team. As a Patient Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our medical office.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Greet and check in patients upon arrival, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience.
  • Process incoming telephone calls and messages in accordance with office policies and procedures.
  • Schedule appointments for patients, adhering to office protocols for access to care.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments as directed by providers or indicated on encounter forms.
  • Obtain patient signatures on necessary waivers, ensuring compliance with insurance requirements.
  • Organize and monitor provider schedules, ensuring timely patient flow.
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and demographic information at each visit, updating records as necessary.

**Requirements:**

  • High school graduate or equivalent, with additional education desirable.
  • Previous clerical experience in a medical practice preferred.
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with patients, staff, and external customers.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion.
