Payroll Coordinator Job Description

Agency Accounting Services (AAS) is a shared services organization serving several agencies within Omnicom Group, including FleishmanHillard, Ketchum, Porter Novelli, Marina Maher, CPM, GMMB, VOX Global and others. The shared services team uses the latest version of PeopleSoft financial systems, Cognos reporting and Docfinity document management. The team includes both software engineers and process improvement specialists who support a group of talented, hard-working accountants and accounting specialists. Job Responsibilities
  • Provide payroll support to multiple agencies (3-7 depending on size)
  • Process semi-monthly payroll, including withholdings and other payroll adjustments such as garnishments, bonuses, etc.
  • Enter employee information and payroll data into the ADP platform
  • Answer agency's questions and concerns regarding payroll
  • Calculate payable hours, commissions, bonuses, taxes, and deductions
  • Process new employees, promotions, and terminations
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies
  • Assist in the development of internal procedures, processes, and documentation
  • Prepare periodic payroll reports
Requirements
  • Minimum Associate degree in a business field
  • 1+ years' experience in Payroll
  • Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements
  • Knowledge of payroll software, especially ADP applications and/or ADP Enterprise EV6
Skills
  • Work requires attention to detail in such things as data entry, proofreading materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines
  • High-level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations
  • This position requires demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy
  • Ability to problem solve; Demonstrated critical thinking and judgement skills
  • Proficient written and oral communication skills
  • Good math, organizational and problem-solving skills
