Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced legal executive to lead our legal department. This pivotal role involves delivering strategic counsel and supporting various agreements with customers, partners, vendors, and channels. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in scaling legal teams in a fast-paced environment while facilitating deal closures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee a global team of over 30 legal professionals, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Develop and execute strategies to support rapid business growth, focusing on the expansion of the legal team to adapt to changing business demands.
  • Engage actively in negotiating and drafting complex agreements as needed, embodying a player-coach mentality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, finance, and information security, to expedite business transactions and enhance deal closure rates.
  • Identify and assess potential legal risks associated with commercial transactions while driving business initiatives forward.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of relevant legal experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity within a corporate environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in negotiating and drafting intricate commercial agreements, particularly in the SaaS industry.
  • Proven ability to build and scale a commercial legal team in a dynamic, high-growth setting.
  • Strong business acumen with the capability to balance legal considerations against business objectives.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, fostering strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited institution; active membership in good standing with a state bar.

  • Experience within the cybersecurity sector.
