The Chief Operations Officer position presents an exhilarating opportunity to establish the groundwork for the company's metrics and analytics framework. This role will entail crafting a holistic and cohesive data strategy, supervising the operational functions of the entire organization with a focus on market entry strategies. You will introduce best practices in Sales and Revenue Operations to a rapidly expanding sales organization, with the adaptability to create an optimal organizational structure that meets the dynamic needs of a high-growth company while enhancing productivity. Collaborating with key stakeholders will be essential to ensure operational efficiency across the commercial organization. You will oversee teams tasked with implementing the necessary tools and systems to operationalize SingleStore in a data-driven manner, ensuring that data is leveraged for informed decision-making. This role will act as a supportive partner to the CFO, CRO, and CMO in critical strategic design and process decisions. Additional responsibilities will include leading and supporting a diverse array of strategic initiatives and ongoing projects.

Role and Responsibilities

- Develop and execute comprehensive business instrumentation strategies to effectively gauge and analyze essential operational metrics.

- Lead initiatives to enhance the organization's capacity to collect, interpret, and act upon relevant data for informed decision-making.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to set benchmarks and performance targets that foster continuous improvement.

- Drive efforts to optimize and refine existing Key Performance Indicators, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

- Implement best practices and technological solutions to streamline operations and elevate overall organizational effectiveness.

- Oversee all aspects of go-to-market reporting, process optimization, and territory planning.

- Monitor the effectiveness of go-to-market efforts and ensure alignment with overarching business objectives through analytics and performance reporting.

- Partner closely with Marketing to assess the health of our go-to-market business, driving operational enhancements as the company grows, scales, and evolves.

- Formulate and implement strategies to streamline and optimize the end-to-end sales process, from lead generation to deal closure.

- Establish forecasting methodologies and tools to enhance accuracy and visibility.

- Collaborate with leadership to design and develop competitive and effective sales compensation plans aligned with business objectives.

Required Skills and Experience

- 10+ years of experience in Revenue Operations, Marketing Operations, Business Operations, or Data Analytics.

- Ability to translate data into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations.

- Strong analytical skills, with experience managing sales reporting and sales metrics.

- Proven ability to define, refine, and implement processes, procedures, and policies.

- Demonstrated proficiency in identifying, diagnosing, and resolving complex issues, prioritizing critical client concerns, and identifying departmental needs.

- Extensive hands-on experience with progressive sales automation systems and a demonstrated ability to enhance sales productivity.

- Strong interpersonal and team-building skills; ability to collaborate with a diverse team and influence/change across functional and business boundaries, with global experience being a significant advantage.

- Comprehensive knowledge of sales systems and tools (Salesforce, Excel, CaptiveIQ, Google Sheets, Sales Enablement, and BI Tools).

- Extensive experience with subscription and consumption business models.

- Management experience encompassing people, project, and systems management.

- A player-coach mentality to lead, develop, and manage sales and revenue operations.

- BA/BS degree in a Business-oriented, Finance, Mathematics, or related field.
