About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Edge Infrastructure team at LinkedIn. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable and efficient edge computing solutions that meet the needs of our 1 billion+ members.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for the overall health, performance, and capacity of one or more of our Internet-facing services.
- Gain deep knowledge of our complex applications and assist in the roll-out and ramp up of new product features and technologies.
- Develop tools to improve our ability to rapidly deploy and effectively monitor custom applications in a large-scale Linux environment.
- Function well in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing environment and participate in a 24x7 rotation for second-tier escalations.
Requirements
- B.S. or higher in Computer Science or other technical discipline, or related practical experience.
- 2+ years experience with administration and troubleshooting of Unix/Linux systems.
- Programming skills in one or more of Rust, Go, Python, Perl, Ruby.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years in a UNIX-based large-scale web operations role.
- Experience with.NET, C#, Android or iOS development.
- Experience in building systems automation and server backends with Python.
- Experience with writing scalable programs in Rust/Go/Python.

- A competitive salary range of $121,000 to $198,000.
- A comprehensive benefits package, including annual performance bonus, stock, and other applicable incentive compensation plans.
