Senior Escrow Analyst for Mortgage Services

GENERAL FUNCTION:
Under minimal supervision, conduct intricate customer investigations pertaining to escrow evaluations, taxation, and insurance for various account types including mortgage, consumer, auto, lease, and commercial.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Manage complex inquiries from customers regarding escrow evaluations, taxation, insurance, PMI, and FHA.
2. Serve as the primary contact for executive-level complaints and third-party agency issues.
3. Take on significant responsibility in resolving escalated research challenges related to customer accounts.
4. Provide training to new hires and staff from other departments on various insurance, tax, and analysis processes.
5. Assist with quality audits and vendor oversight.
6. Address assessments from quality control and compliance divisions.
7. Analyze monthly trial balance reports, payment adjustments, and surplus reports to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.
8. Review and document accounts with payment variations that deviate from established escrow standards.
9. Generate daily shortage payment reports to confirm accurate adjustments of customer payments.
10. Compile monthly exception reports to rectify errors hindering annual evaluations.
11. Process exception reports from escrow vendors to guarantee timely payment processing for monthly transactions.
12. Prepare wire transfers to outsourced tax and insurance providers.
13. Conduct weekly audits of outsourced providers to ensure adherence to federal, investor, and corporate standards.
14. Review, approve, or deny claims for tax providers that result in charge-offs.
15. Collaborate closely with vendors, customers, tax agencies, insurance firms, and affiliates on customer service matters related to escrow processing; make necessary account adjustments to rectify improper escrow setups.
16. Work with title agencies to file claims on incorrect legal descriptions and obtain corrected legal descriptions and title commitments.
17. Monitor and recover corporate advances used to rectify incorrect escrow payments.
18. Handle daily correspondence and send to vendors via expedited transactions.
19. Fulfill customer requests to modify, remove, or reanalyze escrow accounts.
20. Clearly articulate customers' escrow analysis statements, requiring detailed mathematical understanding and calculations.
21. Investigate insurance and tax discrepancies that lead to overages and shortages on customer accounts.
22. Ensure monthly analysis checks and statements are dispatched to customers in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
23. Collaborate with default management to ensure accounts emerging from bankruptcy and loan modifications are analyzed within required timeframes.

None.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
1. Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of training and experience in a related field.
2. Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience required.
3. Understanding of fundamental concepts related to mortgage, consumer, auto, and lease accounts, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a quality control capacity.
4. Basic knowledge of the Bank's, Investor's, Government, and Underwriting Program requirements.
5. Familiarity with all documents utilized by the Bank in the origination of FHA, VA, and conventional loans.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access (or equivalent database reporting tools).
7. Strong customer service abilities.
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
9. Strong analytical capabilities.
10. Ability to work efficiently with minimal errors.
11. Capacity to work independently and meet deadlines.
