JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Vice President of Product Strategy at IPG Health is responsible for shaping the organization's approach to product management, ensuring it aligns with both business goals and market dynamics. This role entails overseeing the product portfolio, managing resource distribution, budgeting, and evaluating project outcomes through key performance indicators. The individual will lead a team, fostering a culture of excellence and compliance with regulatory standards. Key responsibilities include assessing project proposals, building stakeholder relationships, and driving change management initiatives. This leader focuses on strategic direction, portfolio oversight, team leadership, and effective communication to ensure successful project delivery in a collaborative environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Portfolio Oversight: Manage the product portfolio to ensure it aligns with strategic objectives, resource distribution, and prioritization.
  • Leadership Development: Recruit, mentor, and guide a team of product managers and coordinators, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate and maintain relationships with stakeholders to ensure project outcomes meet business objectives.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Development:

  • Formulate and implement the product management strategy in alignment with business goals.
  • Regularly evaluate project portfolios to ensure they remain aligned with changing business strategies and market conditions.

Portfolio Management:

  • Oversee product engagements, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and resource allocation.
  • Optimize resource allocation for efficient project execution.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks while developing contingency plans.
  • Establish and uphold quality standards and processes.
  • Manage project budgets, monitoring expenses and financial outcomes.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate project success.
  • Adapt project management methodologies as necessary.
  • Address project challenges and conflicts promptly.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation.

Team Leadership:

  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of product managers and coordinators.
  • Invest in the professional development of team members.
  • Anticipate future resource needs and collaborate with HR.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Utilize project management software and tools effectively.

Project Initiation:

  • Assess project proposals, defining scopes, objectives, and success criteria while securing necessary approvals.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Develop strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring effective communication.
  • Present project updates and performance metrics to executive leadership.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution within project teams.

Change Management:

  • Lead change management initiatives related to projects.
  • Adjust resource allocation as necessary.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Product Management (Required)

EXPERIENCE:

  • 15+ years in Product Management, with experience in product strategy, roadmap development, and product launches (Required)
  • 10+ years in Digital/Tech/Agency Experience (Preferred)
  • 5+ years in People Management Experience (Preferred)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

  • Experience in product management, strategic marketing, and business strategy within the Advertising, Tech, or Life Sciences sectors.
  • Understanding of technical and scientific aspects of biopharmaceutical advertising.
  • Ability to discuss industry trends credibly.
  • Extensive background in Digital Production and Product Management.
  • Experience in defining and delivering successful digital products.
  • Familiarity with UX best practices and collaboration with design leads.
  • Understanding of technology and emerging trends.
  • Prior management experience with digital agencies and client partners.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Lean Development methodologies.
  • Ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience in creating clear user stories and project artifacts.
  • Proficient in developing release plans and roadmaps.

Salary:

$210,000 - $275,000 annually.
