Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior HR Coordinator to join our team at Johns Hopkins University. The successful candidate will provide recruitment coordination, support, and assistance to the centralized HR Team, ensuring efficient human resources and payroll functioning for assigned departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate recruitment efforts, including reviewing job postings, submitting requisitions, and establishing relationships with hiring managers and JHU recruiters.
  • Partner with JHU central recruiters to lead recruitment strategy meetings and consult on interview strategy and best practices.
  • Review candidate resumes, prescreen applicants, and participate in interviews as needed.
  • Monitor the status of active recruitment using JHU's applicant tracking system - Success Factors Recruitment.
  • Calculate and create salary offers through coordination with the department, HRBP, and JHU Compensation.
  • Ensure successful onboarding of candidates and conduct check-ins throughout the new employee's introductory period.
  • Lead New Hire Orientation presentation with HR partners for all new BSPH staff.
  • Participate in JHU and BSPH job fairs.
  • Maintain accurate BSPH HR requisition tracking using Microsoft Excel.
  • Regularly review I9 status of new hires and advise on completion process as needed.
Payroll Processing and Administration
  • Initiate multiple payroll actions via Internal Service Requests (ISR) and Employment Actions (EA) for faculty, staff, and student employees.
  • Process time entry for hourly staff via CATS bi-weekly.
  • Assist with coordination and tracking of FMLA paperwork and processing of payroll related to E210 timekeeping.
  • Resolve E210 issues in conjunction with Health Sciences central HR.
  • Run monthly reports (as assigned) such as temp. inactive, overpayment, and work authorization; assist with the resolution of items requiring action.
  • Collaborate with various HR offices across JHU to understand policies and procedures and troubleshoot issues.
  • Assist with Employee Relations, ADA cases, and Unemployment Hearings alongside HR Business Partner.
  • Assist and support HRBP with coordination of training schedules for BSPH new hires, including conducting side-by-side training as needed.
  • Conduct exit interviews and assist with offboarding.
  • Ensure maintenance of HR databases, master data, and employee filing system.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or other related field.
  • Three years of related experience.
  • Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of recruiting or recruitment coordination experience.
  • Prior experience with SAP Software and Service Now.
  • Familiarity with Success Factors.

Starting Salary Range: $46, $80,800.00 Annually; Commensurate with experience
Employee group: Full Time
Schedule: Monday - Friday: 8:30am-5:00pm
