Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electrophysiology Program Coordinator to join our team at Mercy. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of the Electrophysiology Program, including scheduling procedures, maintaining inventory, and participating in the ordering and maintenance of lab equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinates procedures with medical device representatives and ensures billing compliance within the department.
  • Performs and assists in electrophysiology procedures utilizing recording and pacing systems, as well as advanced 3D mapping.
  • Maintains department workflow and completes ordered procedures as it relates to the EP Program.
  • Trains and educates new and current employees in Electrophysiology Program.
  • Schedules procedures and maintains inventory.
  • Participates in the ordering and maintenance of lab equipment.
  • Reports and acts on quality initiatives, follows compliance to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Follows established standards and practices under the direction of an Electrophysiologist.
  • Cross-trains and floats to other cath lab areas as needed.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in Cath Lab/Electrophysiology or 3 years of experience providing care to patients within Cardiology.
  • Knowledge of specialty equipment/tools.
  • Associate degree in Nursing or Radiologic Technology.
  • RCES certified and/or RCVT/RCIS Certified.
  • Ability to think logically and sequentially.
  • Ability to coordinate care of the patient across the care continuum.
  • Ability to develop standards, training, and communicate effectively.
