This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join Lockheed Martin as a Maintenance Controller, supporting the F-35 aircraft maintenance operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating aircraft production efforts, providing technical assistance, and setting maintenance priorities.
Key Responsibilities- Use aircraft data to project future maintenance events that will impact aircraft operations, performing scheduling, inspection tracking, and coordination of outside support.
- Coordinate aircraft production efforts, provide technical assistance, and set maintenance priorities to ensure aircraft are in good mechanical condition and safe for flight.
- Create and assign work-orders in the Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) and accomplish aircraft safety of flight releases as required.
- Plan and develop current flight schedules resulting in efficient service, optimum use of aircraft and other company resources to maximize production.
- Coordinate with Maintenance Manager on schedules, aircraft status, and issues as they occur.
- Coordinate with Flightline Expeditor to execute daily, weekly, and monthly flying operations as needed.
- Assist the Operations Analyst with monitoring aircraft status and requesting base support.
- Coordinate TCTD execution with Aircraft Maintenance Managers, working with maintenance supervision to ensure maintenance actions are completed on time.
- Maintain accurate aircraft status boards and perform other duties as directed by the Manager.
- At least 6 years of overall fighter aircraft maintenance experience with a thorough understanding of Fighter Aircraft Systems and Operation.
- Overall fighter experience must include at least 2 years of F-35 aircraft maintenance environment.
- Knowledge of maintenance controller operations.
- Experience with programs such as Aircraft Scheduling/Records Management, Job/Maintenance Control, Configuration Control, Maintenance Information Systems, Tool and FOD, Training, Safety, Security, Hazardous Waste Management, or Supply Chain Management.
- F-35 or Fifth-generation aircraft maintenance experience.
- Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) experience.
- Understanding of daily flight operations maintenance practices.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills for coordinating with Field Service Representatives, and Maintenance Managers on schedules, aircraft status, and issues as they occur.
- Effective communication skills for coordination at all levels throughout Operations, Maintenance, and Logistics Support Managers.
- Ability to lead a diverse workforce.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to develop and present formal briefings and presentations.
- Ability to develop necessary maintenance plans and procedures.
- Ability to develop work schedules and assign tasks.
This position requires a government security clearance, and you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
