Responsibilities
Manage and oversee the operations of two dams along with the corresponding power generation facility and switchyard (115KV and 230KV). Key responsibilities include operating four 75 MW generating and condensing units, along with associated auxiliary systems and water management equipment. Operations may be conducted through manual, automated, or computer-assisted methods.
- Reviews and implements generation, pumping, and water management schedules while ensuring adherence to operational limits. Processes clearance requests and executes necessary adjustments.
- Develops and disseminates switching protocols, clearances, and special condition tags.
- Conducts operational assessments of the power generation facility, switchyard, dams, and related infrastructure and equipment.
- Monitors service board metrics and data reporting systems. Collects and evaluates data to produce standardized reports. Responds to alarm notifications and takes appropriate actions to safeguard personnel, equipment, and facilities.
- Serves as a communication liaison for mobile units, remote locations, other project facilities, and relevant stakeholders. In emergency scenarios, directs the activities of both operational and maintenance teams.

You will be required to undergo a successful pre-employment physical examination by a licensed medical professional to certify your capability to perform the duties of this role. A physical examination may not be necessary if a comparable agency-approved examination was conducted within the last 12 months. The agency will reimburse the cost of the examination.
Qualifications
Your application materials must demonstrate adequate experience and training to fulfill the responsibilities of this position without requiring excessive supervision. Qualifications will be assessed based on the information provided in your resume and responses to assessment inquiries. You must achieve at least 2 points on the screen-out element(s) and obtain an average of at least 2 points across all job elements to be considered qualified for this position.
Experience encompasses both paid and unpaid roles, including volunteer work conducted through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer experience contributes to essential competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that directly translates to paid employment. All qualifying experience, including volunteer work, will be credited.
You must meet all requirements, including any selective placement factors if applicable.
Education
This position does not permit the substitution of education for experience.
