Position Overview
Dudek LLC is seeking a dedicated Senior Engineer to join our Engineering Division. This role involves providing comprehensive planning and design assistance as part of a collaborative project team focused on water, wastewater, and recycled water initiatives, particularly in treatment-related planning and design. The ideal candidate will possess a professional engineering background with over five years of experience in water infrastructure and civil engineering. This position offers flexibility with remote work options.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage project execution under the guidance of a Project Manager, focusing on the planning and analysis of water, wastewater, and recycled water systems, including capacity assessments, facility planning, alternative evaluations, condition assessments, process reviews, risk assessments, and operational optimization.
  • Oversee project design under the supervision of a Project Manager for water, wastewater, and treatment systems, including open channel hydraulics, pump stations, reservoirs, and treatment equipment. Responsibilities include developing project plans, specifications, calculation packages, and construction cost estimates.
  • Conduct fieldwork, including construction observation, inspections, field measurements, and equipment monitoring as required.
  • Travel within the region for client meetings, site evaluations, attending conferences, and conducting project-related fieldwork as necessary.
  • Provide training and delegate tasks to Project Engineers to effectively manage workload and ensure timely project completion.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of engineering experience in the planning and design of mechanical and treatment-related projects.
  • Licensed Professional Civil and/or Mechanical Engineer in the State of California.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel) with strong writing, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with design software, particularly AutoCAD.

Work Environment:
  • This position operates in a remote or office-based setting, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers and phones.
  • Occasional site visits are required, which may involve exposure to outdoor conditions, including noise, uneven surfaces, and varying weather.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work on a computer and remain seated or standing for extended periods.
  • Participation in meetings, both in-person and virtual, and effective communication with peers and clients are essential.
  • Visual acuity is necessary for tasks requiring close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.

Salary Range: $98,000-$120,000 annually. Final compensation will be determined based on various factors, including experience, education, certifications, skills, and work location.
