Position Overview
Dudek LLC is seeking a dedicated full-time Senior Engineer to join our Engineering Division. This role involves providing strategic planning and design assistance as part of a collaborative project team focused on water, wastewater, and recycled water initiatives, with an emphasis on treatment-related planning and design. The ideal candidate will possess a professional engineering background with over five years of experience in water infrastructure and civil engineering. This position offers flexibility with remote work options.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage project execution under the guidance of a Project Manager, focusing on the planning and analysis of water, wastewater, and recycled water systems, including capacity assessments, facility planning, alternatives evaluation, condition assessments, process reviews, risk assessments, and operational optimization.
- Oversee project design under the direction of a Project Manager for water, wastewater, and treatment processes, including open channel hydraulics, pump stations, reservoirs, and treatment equipment. Responsibilities include developing project plans, specifications, calculation packages, and cost estimates.
- Conduct fieldwork, including construction oversight, inspections, and equipment monitoring as required.
- Travel within California for client meetings, site evaluations, conferences, and project-related field activities as necessary.
- Provide training and delegate tasks to Project Engineers to ensure effective workload management and project completion.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of five years of engineering experience in the planning and design of mechanical and treatment-related projects.
- Licensed Professional Civil and/or Mechanical Engineer in the State of California.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel) with strong writing, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with design software, particularly AutoCAD.
- The successful candidate will collaborate with Dudek's experienced team to respond to proposals, deliver high-quality work, foster relationships, and engage in professional development opportunities.
- This position is primarily office-based or remote, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers and phones.
- Occasional site visits may involve outdoor conditions with exposure to noise, uneven surfaces, and varying weather.
- Ability to work on a computer and remain seated or standing for extended periods.
- Participation in meetings, both in-person and virtual, requiring effective communication skills.
- Visual acuity for close and distant vision, color perception, and depth perception is necessary.

Salary Range: $98,000-$120,000 annually. Compensation will be determined based on various factors, including experience, education, certifications, skills, and work location.
