Position Overview
Dudek LLC is actively seeking a full-time Senior Engineer to join our Engineering Division. This role focuses on providing strategic planning and design support within a project team dedicated to water, wastewater, and recycled water initiatives, with a primary emphasis on treatment-related planning and design. The ideal candidate will possess a professional engineering background with over five years of experience in water infrastructure and treatment as well as civil engineering. This position offers flexibility with remote work options.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage project execution under the guidance of a Project Manager, focusing on the planning and analysis of water, wastewater, and/or recycled water systems and facilities. This includes capacity assessments, facility planning, alternatives evaluation, condition assessments, process evaluations, risk assessments, and operational optimization.
- Oversee project design under the supervision of a Project Manager for water, wastewater, and/or conveyance and treatment systems. Responsibilities include open channel hydraulics, pump stations, reservoirs, treatment equipment design, and the development of project plans, specifications, calculations, and cost estimates.
- Conduct fieldwork, including construction observation, inspections, field measurements, and equipment monitoring as required.
- Travel within California for client meetings, site assessments, conference attendance, and project-related fieldwork as necessary.
- Provide training and delegate tasks to Project Engineers to ensure efficient project completion and workload balance.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of engineering experience in the planning and design of mechanical and treatment-related projects.
- Professional Civil and/or Mechanical Engineer license in California.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel) with strong writing, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with design software, including AutoCAD.
- The ideal candidate will collaborate with Dudek's skilled team to respond to proposals, deliver high-quality work, foster relationships, and pursue professional development opportunities.
- This position operates in a remote or office-based setting, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers.
- Occasional site visits are required, which may involve exposure to outdoor conditions, including noise, uneven surfaces, extreme weather, and moving vehicles.
- Prolonged periods of sitting or standing while working on a computer in an office or remote setting.
- Participation in meetings, both in-person and virtual, along with effective communication via phone with colleagues and clients.
- Vision capabilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Salary Range: $98,000-$120,000 annually, with final compensation determined by various factors including experience, education, certifications, skills, and work location.
