Position Overview
Dudek LLC is actively seeking a full-time Senior Engineer to join our Engineering Division. This role involves providing strategic planning and design assistance as part of a collaborative project team focused on water, wastewater, and recycled water initiatives, primarily emphasizing treatment-related planning and design. The ideal candidate will possess a professional engineering background with over five years of experience in water infrastructure, treatment, and civil engineering. This position offers the flexibility of remote work from one of our California offices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage project execution under the guidance of a Project Manager, focusing on the planning and analysis of water, wastewater, and/or recycled water systems and facilities. This includes capacity assessments, facility planning, alternatives analysis, condition evaluations, risk assessments, and operational optimization.
- Oversee project design under the direction of a Project Manager for water, wastewater, and/or conveyance and treatment systems, including open channel hydraulics, pump stations, reservoirs, and treatment equipment. Responsibilities include developing project plans, specification documents, calculation packages, and construction cost estimates.
- Conduct fieldwork as necessary, which may involve construction observation, inspections, field measurements, and equipment monitoring.
- Travel within California for client meetings, site assessments, conferences, and project-related fieldwork as required.
- Provide training and delegate tasks to Project Engineers to ensure efficient workload management and project completion.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of five years of engineering experience in the planning and design of mechanical and treatment-related projects.
- Licensed Professional Civil and/or Mechanical Engineer in the State of California.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel) with strong writing, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with design software, including AutoCAD.
- The ideal candidate will contribute to and learn from Dudek's experienced team, responding to proposals, delivering high-quality work, building professional relationships, and engaging in growth opportunities.
- This position operates in a remote or office-based setting, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers.
- Occasional project site visits may occur outdoors, exposing the individual to noise, uneven surfaces, extreme weather, and moving vehicles and equipment.
- Ability to work on a computer and remain seated or standing for extended periods in an office or remote environment.
- Participation in meetings, both in-person and virtually, as well as effective communication via phone with colleagues and clients is essential.
- Specific vision capabilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Salary Range: $98,000-$120,000 annually. *
