Senior Platform Engineer Role

Position Summary:
The Senior Platform Engineer at The Last Mile is responsible for overseeing and enhancing operational platforms within the organization. This includes managing internal business systems and the infrastructure that supports our program services, ensuring that our systems are effective and continually evolving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage user-facing support requests and ensure prompt resolutions
  • Oversee platform infrastructure and respond to alerts
  • Facilitate platform updates and deployments across the organization

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • A strong commitment to addressing complex challenges and empowering others through technology
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Proficiency in various programming languages, including bash, Python, JavaScript, and others
  • Experience managing GCP projects and utilizing Terraform
  • Familiarity with Palo Alto Networks Panorama and Ansible
  • Support for macOS and ChromeOS environments with an emphasis on security
  • Understanding of IP networking, computer hardware, and peripherals
  • Experience with OAuth, SAML authentication, and zero-trust security models
  • Ability to build and support integrated platforms using APIs
  • Experience in developing CI/CD pipelines and G Suite administration
  • Proficient in managing ticket-driven workflows
