Job Summary

Kennedy Jenks is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Resident Engineer to lead our team in providing exceptional engineering and environmental consulting services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing major water and wastewater infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with plans and specifications, and meeting established deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Oversight: Provide technical guidance and oversight to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Construction Management: Manage and coordinate construction activities, including material testing, special inspection, and startup activities.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with SWPPP (Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan) and other regulatory requirements.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor inspectors, and provide guidance and support to project team members.
  • Business Development: Support business development efforts by attending pre-proposal meetings and interviews.
  • Contract Management: Review and recommend approval of monthly pay applications, contract change orders, and daily extra work tags.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in construction management or engineering.
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office products and engineering and inspection-related software.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong writing, editing, and research skills, ability to work independently and as a valuable team member, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Benefits

Kennedy Jenks offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $120,000, depending on education, experience, qualifications, licensure/certifications, and geographic location. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, 401k, bonus opportunities, tuition reimbursement, professional registration support, a competitive PTO and holiday plan, and other benefits and programs.
