Position Overview
Dudek LLC is actively seeking a full-time Senior Engineer to join our Engineering Division. This role is integral to providing strategic planning and design support within a project team, primarily focusing on water, wastewater, and recycled water initiatives, with an emphasis on treatment-related planning and design. The ideal candidate will possess a professional engineering background with over five years of experience in water infrastructure, treatment, and civil engineering. This position offers flexibility with remote work options.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute projects under the guidance of a Project Manager, focusing on the planning and analysis of water, wastewater, and recycled water systems, including capacity evaluations, facility planning, alternatives assessments, condition evaluations, risk analysis, and operational optimization.
  • Oversee project execution under the direction of a Project Manager for the design of water, wastewater, and treatment facilities, including open channel hydraulics, pump stations, reservoirs, and treatment equipment. Responsibilities include developing project plans, specifications, calculations, and cost estimates.
  • Conduct fieldwork, including construction observation, inspections, and equipment monitoring as required.
  • Travel within California for client meetings, site assessments, and attendance at conferences and professional events, as necessary.
  • Provide training and delegate tasks to Project Engineers to ensure efficient project completion and workload balance.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of five years of engineering experience in the planning and design of mechanical and treatment-related projects.
  • Licensed Professional Civil and/or Mechanical Engineer in the State of California.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel) with strong writing, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with design software, including AutoCAD.
  • The successful candidate will collaborate with Dudek's experienced team to respond to proposals, deliver high-quality work, build professional relationships, and engage in growth opportunities.
Work Environment:
  • This position operates in a remote or office-based setting, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers and phones.
  • Occasional site visits may involve outdoor conditions, including noise, uneven surfaces, and varying weather.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work on a computer and remain seated or standing for extended periods.
  • Participation in meetings, both in-person and virtual, requiring effective communication skills.
  • Visual acuity for close and distant vision, color differentiation, and depth perception.

Salary Range: $98,000-$120,000 annually. Final compensation will be determined based on various factors, including experience, education, certifications, skills, and work location.
