About the Role

The HR Specialist will report to the VP of HR and be responsible for providing administrative support for day-to-day human resources operations. Key responsibilities include:

HR Operations:
  • Processing new hire documents, including onboarding documents, background checks, and adding new hires to ADP.
  • Providing information on benefits and policies during new hire orientations.
  • Facilitating and tracking EEO-1 reporting.
  • Working closely with the health and safety leader to coordinate workers' comp claims and benefits.
HR Customer Service:
  • Responding to employee inquiries and working with HRBPs to ensure resolutions are met.
  • Managing the Filson HR inbox and providing general administration for the HR Department.
Miscellaneous Duties:
  • Supporting scheduling and ordering of occasional board meetings.

The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent writing and verbal communication skills, and the ability to build strong collaborative relationships. Prior experience in customer service, HR operations, and HRIS systems is preferred.
