Job Title: HR Compliance Coordinator

CRISTA Resources is seeking a highly skilled HR Compliance Coordinator to oversee and manage the background check process for all new hires, current employees, volunteers, and vendors. The successful candidate will collaborate with the HR team and CRISTA leaders to provide insight regarding hiring decisions that align with CRISTA's mission and vision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement comprehensive background check protocols that include criminal history and other relevant assessments.
  • Review and analyze the current background check process to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
  • Research and recommend new tools or methodologies for conducting background checks that enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure that background checks are tailored to meet the specific needs of various roles within the organization.
  • Continuously monitor and assess the effectiveness of the background check process, making adjustments as necessary to enhance compliance and candidate experience.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Human Resources, Law, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in background check coordination or human resources, preferably in a senior living setting.
  • 3-5 years of experience with at least 3 years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Strong understanding of background check processes and relevant laws in Washington State and nation.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and professionally.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in Human Resources.
