Job Overview

As a Senior Project Manager at Outland Recruiting, you will play a pivotal role in steering project initiatives and ensuring alignment with client goals. Your expertise will guide our team in delivering exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and implement design strategies that resonate with client aspirations, maintaining exemplary standards.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, facilitating the approval process with regulatory bodies.
  • Engage in marketing and business growth activities, focusing on lead generation and exploring new avenues.
  • Manage administrative and financial responsibilities, including invoicing, budget oversight, proposal drafting, change order management, and team timecard approvals.

Essential Duties:

  • Develop project timelines and supervise the workflow of the design team in partnership with the Senior Project Manager.
  • Oversee the creation of plans, technical documentation, cost assessments, and other deliverables, ensuring high-quality and economical designs that meet client and regulatory standards.
  • Foster client and agency relationships, addressing design challenges and ensuring adherence to all requirements.
  • Collaborate with external consultants and internal teams, initiating project phase meetings as necessary.
  • Conduct site assessments and investigations for proposals, designs, and marketing efforts, and supervise construction visits to ensure design compliance.
  • Monitor team workload and communicate resource requirements to the Senior Project Manager.
  • Provide mentorship to staff, conduct performance evaluations, and facilitate training sessions.
  • Ensure precise time tracking for projects and timely submission of employee timecards.
  • Oversee project budgets, billing, and necessary change orders.
  • Encourage and implement innovative ideas and processes that enhance project results.
  • Represent Outland Recruiting in client and agency discussions.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities by attending seminars and workshops, applying new insights to improve workflows.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of 1-5 engineering professionals in collaboration with the Principal or Senior Project Manager. Responsibilities include interviewing, training, task assignment, performance evaluation, and addressing any issues, all in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of ten years of relevant experience.
  • Possession of a PE license.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D.
