Installation Project Leader

The Installation Project Leader at Sila is a pivotal role that necessitates experience in guiding a diverse team of HVAC installation supervisors and technicians.

This position is responsible for delivering top-notch products and services while enhancing and developing the installation department.

The Installation Project Leader is an experienced manager and an inspiring leader who operates in both an office setting and collaborates with supervisors, sales representatives, and installers on job sites.

This individual reports directly to the General Manager. The Installation Department, which includes Supervisors, Install Leads, Install Helpers, and Installation Coordinators, falls under the purview of the Installation Project Leader.

Experience Requirements

• 10+ years of HVAC experience
• 5+ years of management and leadership experience
• Engineering and Construction Management experience is advantageous

Key Responsibilities

The Installation Project Leader is a proven team leader with a focus on growth and continuous improvement. This role requires a diverse skill set that encompasses P&L management, talent acquisition, development, and strategic oversight.

The ideal candidate will have a track record of developing and implementing training initiatives and quality control processes, as well as enhancing efficiencies through process improvements and training.

Strategic Oversight

• Assist in setting the annual budget
• Operate the department within budgetary limits
• Monitor costs on all jobs within the department (labor, materials, subcontractors, etc.)
• Review material usage across all projects
• Participate in leadership meetings to continually enhance technical skills

Daily Operations Management

• Supervise the daily activities of the Installation Team
• Review and manage the daily production schedule
• Ensure all equipment is installed according to manufacturer specifications and local regulations
• Implement a quality control process to guarantee customer satisfaction
• Conduct on-site debriefings with installers to ensure proper completion of tasks
• Manage all subcontractors to exceed client expectations
• Oversee the setup of all installations in the management system
• Supervise payroll for installers and installation coordinators

Customer Experience Management

• Oversee all warranty work within the first year of installation
• Ensure all customer requests are addressed promptly
• Visit customer sites to verify satisfaction
• Address all client concerns and ensure timely resolutions
• Review daily invoices for accuracy and ensure proper documentation
• Ensure all work performed meets customer requirements and expectations

Safety Compliance

• Ensure adherence to safety programs by all installers and helpers
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of trucks and property

Recruitment & Training

• Establish a program for operational improvements, focusing on process enhancements to increase profitability while maintaining quality
• Recruit, interview, and train new installers
• Collaborate with recruitment teams to identify experienced installers
