POSITION OVERVIEW:

The role is pivotal within the Commercial Lines team, collaborating closely with Advisors, Directors of Risk Management, and Client Service Specialists to provide exceptional service to our commercial clientele. This position requires the development of strong professional relationships with clients, insurance providers, and agency personnel to effectively manage accounts and foster a collaborative work environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accurately maintain client records within the Agency Management System, ensuring proper documentation and communication in line with company workflows and best practices.
  • Draft professional correspondence through various mediums, including letters and emails.
  • Perform essential accounting functions such as invoicing and premium allocation as needed.
  • Oversee claims as per agency protocols, keeping all parties informed and providing necessary support to clients during the claims process.
  • Utilize effective communication skills to interact with colleagues and clients, ensuring information is shared and goals are met.
  • Participate in client meetings alongside Advisors or Directors of Risk Management when required.
  • Support team members in addressing client inquiries and processing tasks as necessary.
  • Manage daily activities related to client accounts, including policy reviews, updates, contract evaluations for certificate processing, renewal documentation preparation, and insurance program negotiations.
  • Respond to client inquiries via phone and email, ensuring timely and accurate service.
  • Advise clients on coverage options and exposures, recommending additional coverage as appropriate.
  • Proactively seek referrals from existing clients to identify new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance partners, staying informed about carrier requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the firm and bring relevant issues to the attention of leadership.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Exhibit strong presentation skills through both verbal and written communication.
  • Possess intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn additional software as required.
  • Demonstrate alignment with the firm’s core values and corporate culture.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Maintain a valid state insurance license as mandated by the State Department of Insurance.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Commercial Insurance Account Manager capacity.
