POSITION OVERVIEW:

The primary objective is to play a vital role within the Commercial Lines team, collaborating with Advisors, Directors of Risk Management, Client Service Specialists, and other agency personnel to provide exceptional service to our commercial clientele. This role involves fostering professional relationships with clients, insurance providers, and agency staff to manage accounts effectively and cultivate a positive work atmosphere.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure accurate and consistent maintenance of client files within the Agency Management System, adhering to company workflows and best practices for documentation and communication.
  • Draft professional business correspondence through various channels.
  • Perform accounting-related tasks, including invoicing and premium allocation, as necessary.
  • Oversee claims processes as per agency guidelines, ensuring timely communication of claims information and providing support to clients.
  • Utilize effective communication skills to interact with colleagues and clients, offering information and assistance to meet company objectives.
  • Participate in client meetings alongside Advisors or Directors of Risk Management when required.
  • Support colleagues in addressing client inquiries and processing tasks as needed.
  • Manage daily activities related to client accounts, including policy reviews, updates, contract assessments for certificate processing, renewal documentation preparation, and insurance program negotiations.
  • Respond to client inquiries via phone and email, ensuring timely service and follow-up.
  • Advise clients on coverage options and exposures, recommending additional coverage as necessary.
  • Proactively seek referrals from existing clients to generate new business opportunities.
  • Develop strong relationships with insurance partners, understanding their requirements and attributes.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement within the firm and processes, bringing issues to the attention of leadership.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Exhibit strong presentation skills through effective verbal and written communication.
  • Possess intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn additional software as needed.
  • Demonstrate alignment with the firm's core values and corporate culture.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Maintain a state insurance license as required by the State Department of Insurance for risk management consulting.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Commercial Insurance Account Manager capacity.
