Job Overview

Position Title: Commercial Lines Account Manager - Client Service

Salary: $75,000 (Dependent on experience, qualifications, and training)

Position Summary

The role focuses on delivering outstanding service to clients while supporting the commercial lines team and producers in managing various types of commercial insurance in accordance with agency protocols and Best Practices for service.

Preferred qualifications include general account management experience. Familiarity with contractor clients or experience with Applied EPIC or AMS 360 is a plus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage renewals, new business, cancellations, audits, and endorsements
  • Issue certificates of insurance as required
  • Lead renewal discussions and supervise the renewal process
  • Negotiate coverage and premiums directly with insurance carriers
  • Provide accurate renewal proposals to producers or account executives
  • Review policy coverages, endorsements, and audits for accuracy
  • Generate invoices for policies, audits, endorsements, cancellations, and other transactions
  • Assist in reconciling client accounts with producers and the accounting department
  • Account rounding responsibilities
  • Collaborate effectively within a team environment
  • Maintain a positive attitude towards company and team goals
  • Ensure excellent communication and relationships with both internal and external clients
  • Utilize problem-solving skills for various issues including cancellations, claims, renewals, audits, receivables, and carrier matters
  • Act as a trusted advisor or consultant to clients
  • Adhere to commercial lines procedures meticulously
  • Resolve complex issues with sound judgment
  • Build strong relationships with partners, carriers, and vendors
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree from a four-year university or equivalent work experience of five to seven years
  • Licenses: Must possess a P&C insurance agent license and commit to ongoing continuing education requirements
