Key Responsibilities

The primary role of the Market Executive is to enhance and maintain profitable commercial banking relationships within the designated area. This position is responsible for driving revenue growth through the management of loan generation, deposits, and fees; evaluating loan applications and their underwriting; ensuring effective management of commercial relationships; and formulating the annual budgets for the team. An active presence in the marketplace and community involvement is essential.

Our Commercial and Industrial (C&I) Team proudly serves local businesses, offering a range of competitive financial solutions including Commercial Loans, Lines of Credit, Treasury Services, Acquisition Financing, Equipment Leasing, Owner-Occupied Commercial Real Estate, Small Business Lending, SBA, and other financing options. Our teams provide innovative and flexible solutions to help small and mid-sized businesses achieve their objectives.

The Lending Team is organized by region, with a Market Executive leading each group, which includes Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers, Administrators, and Underwriters. Our bank's lenders possess expertise across various sectors, including government contracting, non-profits, educational financing, healthcare, and professional services.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or 5 additional years of relevant experience in commercial lending.
  • A minimum of ten years in commercial underwriting, portfolio management, and business development.
  • Demonstrated success in a corporate sales environment.
  • Advanced understanding of C&I, Real Estate, ABL, SBA, and Credit/Special Assets.
  • Proficient in credit principles and loan structuring.
  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating business financial statements and assessing viability.
  • In-depth knowledge of banking products and services.
  • Solid foundation in accounting and finance.
  • Exceptional sales, marketing, and presentation skills.
  • Leadership development capabilities.
  • Comprehensive market knowledge.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification from an Accredited Banking School in Lending or a related field.
