POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a vital member of the Commercial Lines team, you will collaborate with Advisors, Directors of Risk Management, and Client Service Specialists to provide exceptional service to our commercial clientele. Your role will involve building professional relationships with clients, insurance carriers, and agency personnel to ensure account maintenance and foster a positive work environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accurately maintain client records in the Agency Management System, ensuring proper documentation and communication in line with company protocols.
  • Draft professional correspondence through various channels, including letters and emails.
  • Perform essential accounting functions such as invoicing and premium allocation as required.
  • Oversee claims as per agency guidelines, keeping all parties informed and assisting clients with claims-related inquiries.
  • Utilize effective communication skills to interact with colleagues and clients, providing necessary information and support to achieve company objectives.
  • Participate in client meetings alongside Advisors or Directors of Risk Management as needed.
  • Support team members in addressing client inquiries and processing tasks when required.
  • Manage daily operations of client accounts, including policy reviews, updates, contract assessments, renewal documentation, and insurance program negotiations.
  • Respond to client inquiries via phone and email, ensuring timely service and follow-up.
  • Advise clients on coverage options and exposures, recommending additional coverage as necessary.
  • Proactively seek referrals from existing clients to identify new business opportunities.
  • Develop strong relationships with insurance partners, staying informed about carrier requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and communicate issues to leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strong presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other relevant software.
  • Exhibit the core values of the firm, demonstrating alignment with our corporate culture.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Possess and maintain necessary state insurance licenses as mandated by the State Department of Insurance.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Commercial Insurance Account Manager capacity.
