Position Overview

We are in search of skilled Field Service Engineers who possess a minimum of 3 years of practical experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of analyzers from brands such as Beckman Coulter, Siemens, or Sysmex. Candidates must provide detailed information regarding the specific brands and models of analyzers they have worked with in their resumes. If selected for an interview, you should be ready to discuss your hands-on experience in installation, service, and repair tasks.

While residency in Philadelphia, PA is not a requirement, candidates should be open to traveling to support regions such as the Great Lakes or Northeast. Preference will be given to those residing in PA, NJ, NY, MD, and DE.

As a Level II Field Service Engineer, your responsibilities will include the installation, maintenance, and servicing of clinical laboratory analyzers and associated products. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective operation of diagnostic instruments, which is vital for accurate test results and the well-being of patients. The role involves significant travel to provide on-site service to clients.

  • Install, maintain, and repair clinical laboratory instruments from various manufacturers including Abbott, Beckman Coulter, Siemens, Sysmex, among others.
  • Troubleshoot intricate issues related to analyzers, centrifuges, spectrophotometers, and automated systems.
  • Collaborate with teams to tackle technical challenges and enhance instrument performance.
  • Prior experience with Beckman Coulter analyzers is preferred.
  • Deliver customer support by efficiently resolving technical issues and educating users on best practices for instrument operation and maintenance.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards during service operations.

Physical Requirements

  • Capability to lift, carry, push, pull, and perform various physical tasks regularly.
  • Good hand and finger dexterity, ability to work in confined spaces, and flexibility in physical movements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering, electronics, or a related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in servicing clinical laboratory analyzers.
  • Proficiency with instrument models from specified manufacturers.
  • Certification as a Clinical Laboratory Instrument Technician (CLIT) is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and willing to travel up to 75% of the time.
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
