POSITION OVERVIEW

The Clinical Laboratory Specialist performs and oversees a variety of laboratory tests on patient samples to deliver precise results that aid in clinical decision-making and treatment plans.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Comply with established quality assurance protocols to guarantee the reliability and accuracy of laboratory outcomes.
  • Timely verification and reporting of laboratory results.
  • Adhere to all relevant regulations regarding specimen handling, quality control, laboratory safety, and other operational standards.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology is required.
  • A degree in medical technology, a related life science, or an applied science field is necessary.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience or training in a laboratory environment.
  • ASCP certification is preferred.
EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS
