About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Director to join our team at ComingUp Creative. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and developing strategic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Acquisition: Identify and target new potential clients across various industries, develop and execute strategies to attract new business opportunities, and stay abreast of client needs and industry trends.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients, act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their business goals and marketing needs, and speak at and attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to generate leads.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with internal teams to develop compelling proposals and pitches, lead the preparation and presentation of proposals to prospective clients, and develop and implement effective business development plans to achieve quarterly and yearly sales targets.
  • Negotiation and Closing: Lead negotiations and close deals with new clients, ensure contracts and agreements are finalized in a timely manner, and monitor and report on the progress of business development initiatives.
  • Market Expansion: Identify opportunities to expand our presence in new markets or industries, develop and implement strategies to enter and succeed in these markets, and work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding and successful delivery of client campaigns.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Advertising, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the advertising, media buying, social media, influencer marketing, or creative services industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully acquiring and managing new clients, strong understanding of advertising, social media, influencer marketing, content creation, creative development, and media buying processes, tools, and trends, excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team, demonstrated proficiency in forecasting and understanding deal flow, planning cycles, and buying signals, creative strategist with a knack for forging new connections, strong relationships with key decision-makers, working knowledge of CRMs and marketing technology, ability to work in fast-paced environments while maintaining exceptional attention to detail, and a strong track record of steering a $5-$10M portfolio.
