Overview: The Senior Vice President of Operations is accountable for the strategic oversight of operational functions, financial planning, and resource distribution across warehouse operations, fleet management, and facilities administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the senior operations team, reporting directly to the President, while overseeing the Sales and Marketing Department to ensure performance targets are met.
  • Manage fiscal responsibilities, including expense and revenue oversight, while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and governmental standards.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of facility dimensions, storage, and logistics capabilities to proactively steer business strategies for sustainable growth.
  • Champion compliance initiatives with local, state, and federal regulatory bodies, including OSHA, DOT, and FDA.
  • Direct maintenance operations for warehouses, fleet services, and essential systems, aiming to minimize risks and operational costs.
  • Develop and implement contingency plans to mitigate business interruptions during emergencies.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing to swiftly address customer concerns and service challenges.
  • Continuously refine operational methodologies based on insights from the food distribution sector.
  • Oversee the budget formulation process, managing labor costs, materials, capital investments, and third-party contracts.
  • Direct all facets of operational performance, making necessary adjustments to surpass financial objectives.
  • Supervise physical inventory management to optimize cash flow and enhance customer service levels.
  • Support cross-departmental initiatives to achieve collective financial and service objectives.
  • Provide expertise in cultivating new business opportunities through active participation in client relations efforts.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience

Experience: Extensive experience in Broadline Foodservice Distribution warehouse and Transportation operations, coupled with senior management experience.
