Covenant Medical Group is a prominent healthcare organization within Covenant Health, employing over 300 esteemed physicians and providers across a diverse range of specialties in East Tennessee.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategically manage and oversee all financial resources within the organization.
  • Lead human resources initiatives and drive the achievement of strategic goals for the Financial Services Division.
  • Collaborate with medical staff and system members to ensure high-quality patient services.
  • Facilitate the effective provision for capital requirements.
  • Prepare and submit timely federal, state, and third-party financial reports as mandated.
  • Stay informed on economic trends and healthcare developments, assessing their potential impacts on operations while educating senior leadership.
  • Visualize and guide the organization towards a financially sustainable future, utilizing historical insights to inform decisions.
  • Provide budget planning frameworks and present budgetary and performance objectives to corporate leadership.
  • Coordinate with Risk Management to ensure adequate insurance coverage for organizational protection.
  • Supervise cost investigations and analyses, making recommendations to enhance income and support organizational activities.
  • Actively participate as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, promoting the desired culture and environment of Covenant Health.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of business outcomes by product line, making strategic recommendations based on projected results.
  • Establish and uphold accounting systems that fulfill organizational requirements, providing accurate reports of assets, liabilities, and financial transactions.
  • Evaluate information system needs to support financial services and assist in the development of new applications.
  • Review and analyze monthly financial statements and operational reports, collaborating with leadership to identify cost containment and revenue enhancement opportunities.
  • Coordinate financial services with other departments and affiliated entities, serving as a resource for record-keeping and financial information processing.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Master’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting, or CPA.
  • Experience: Minimum of seven (7) years in a similar role, preferably within a large, multi-entity hospital environment.
  • Licensure: None required.
