Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize your expertise to provide direct support to engineering teams engaged in innovative research.
  • Oversee the operational integrity of laboratory facilities.
  • Participate in the assembly, integration, and testing of hardware designed for space missions.


Daily Tasks:
  • Ensure the maintenance and calibration of laboratory spaces and equipment, including the procurement of necessary supplies and tools while upholding safety standards.
  • Collaborate with contamination control specialists to inspect, clean, and process incoming components.
  • Assist engineering personnel in coordinating laboratory activities with facility management for maintenance, upgrades, and equipment logistics.
  • Construct and evaluate harnesses and circuit boards, employing industry-standard techniques for wiring and soldering.


Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • For candidates with an Associate's degree, a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is necessary.
  • For those without an Associate's degree, at least 2 years of related experience is required. Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential.
  • Basic proficiency in computer applications such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is expected. Familiarity with SolidWorks and LabView is advantageous, with training available for essential technician functions.
  • Ability to effectively utilize standard laboratory testing equipment, hand tools, and power tools. Skills in constructing engineering-level cables, adaptors, and assemblies, along with performing advanced soldering tasks, are crucial.
  • Capability to interpret mechanical and electrical schematics, diagrams, and manuals; familiarity with laboratory testing instruments such as oscilloscopes and voltmeters is important for engineering support roles.
  • A valid driver's license is mandatory.

Salary Information:

Compensation is competitive, starting at $33.35 per hour.
