Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize your expertise to provide direct support to engineering teams engaged in innovative research.
  • Ensure the operational integrity of laboratory facilities.
  • Participate in the assembly, integration, and testing of spaceflight components.


Daily Tasks:
  • Oversee the maintenance and calibration of laboratory spaces and equipment, including the procurement of necessary supplies and tools while ensuring laboratory safety.
  • Collaborate with contamination control specialists on the inspection and processing of incoming components.
  • Assist engineering personnel in coordinating laboratory activities with facility management to facilitate maintenance, upgrades, and equipment logistics.
  • Construct and evaluate harnesses and circuit boards, including specialized techniques such as crimping, soldering, and conformal coating.


Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A combination of 1+ years of relevant experience is necessary for candidates with an Associate's degree.
  • For those without an Associate's degree, a minimum of 2 years of related experience is required. Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential.
  • Basic proficiency in computer applications, such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with SolidWorks and LabView is preferred, with the ability to learn essential technician functions.
  • Capability to operate standard laboratory testing equipment, hand tools, and power tools. Proficiency in constructing engineering-grade cables, adaptors, assemblies, and performing advanced soldering tasks.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical schematics, diagrams, and manuals; familiarity with standard laboratory test instruments, including oscilloscopes and voltmeters, to perform engineering support tasks.
  • A valid driver's license is mandatory.

This position is located in a specific area. Candidates must be U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or individuals with appropriate status) due to compliance with ITAR regulations.



Salary Information:

Compensation is set at $33.35 per hour.
