Position Summary:

The Facilities Operations Manager role is responsible for leading a diverse team of maintenance professionals across multiple sites, ensuring a secure and efficient working environment for all personnel.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Operations team by maintaining a safe, customer-oriented approach; must demonstrate high levels of self-motivation and a focus on client satisfaction.
  • Innovate and design effective solutions to complex challenges, oversee external contractors, and be available for emergency situations.
  • Manage various internal and external projects and daily operations, ensuring deadlines are met while developing and tracking plans to achieve departmental and operational objectives.
  • Collaborate with local Safety leadership to comprehend, implement, and evaluate safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols.
  • Establish and uphold preventative maintenance programs while fostering strong relationships with operational leadership.
  • Conduct technical and safety training sessions, contributing to the professional growth of maintenance staff.
  • Guide and mentor maintenance personnel, inspiring them to reach their goals and consistently exceed expectations.
  • Formulate business strategies for the Maintenance department and provide direction for their successful execution.
  • Work alongside the Finance team to create, monitor, and manage budgets.
  • Engage in and support efficiency enhancement initiatives across the site and network as necessary.
  • Develop capital expenditure plans, facilitate cross-departmental project coordination, and perform financial analyses.
  • Promote and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization.
  • Participate in regular Maintenance network calls and attend off-site conferences for Maintenance Managers.
  • Deliver constructive feedback to enhance individual performance and provide written evaluations, including disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Flexibility to work various schedules, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil).
  • 5+ years of experience in distribution or manufacturing, with relevant mechanical or electrical expertise.
  • Experience with automated systems, electrical principles, and preventive maintenance practices.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks, including lifting and manual dexterity.
  • Work conditions may involve exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and physical environments.
