Job Overview

This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of facility-related tasks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Address work order inquiries, acting as the primary troubleshooting technician before escalating issues. Take necessary actions to resolve problems associated with equipment and furniture maintenance, electrical systems, lighting, HVAC, workplace safety, and other general operational needs. Collaborate with third-party vendors as required. Maintain accurate records in the work order system from initiation to completion. Assist with office space arrangements, including moving boxes, furniture, and filing cabinets.
  • Oversee the supply levels and organization of breakrooms, storage areas, and common spaces. Notify management when inventory is low and coordinate the procurement of necessary goods and services to fulfill assigned tasks.
  • Support and verify corrective measures for reported safety issues. Monitor and inform management of potential safety hazards in the workplace, submitting reports as necessary. Adhere to proper equipment usage and safety protocols, fostering a culture of safety within the organization. Participate actively in safety drills and training exercises. Conduct regular facility inspections to identify safety concerns and deficiencies, reporting findings to management.
  • Provide direct assistance with facility-related systems and projects for maintenance and upgrades as needed. Support fleet vehicle maintenance requirements as necessary. Communicate changes in asset locations and assist with condition assessments and disposition requests.
  • Offer support for CATOPS as required by business unit response plans. Assist with continuity tests and drills.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Understanding of office procedures and practices.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Fundamental arithmetic skills.
  • Effective communication skills with all stakeholders.
  • Ability to learn new skills and system operations.
  • Capacity to manage multiple responsibilities with attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing operational needs.
  • Understanding of applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Willingness to work extended hours and support operations as needed.
  • Strong customer service orientation.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or GED (mandatory).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance.
  • Valid driver's license and capability to operate company vehicles in accordance with policy.
  • Additional education may be considered in lieu of experience.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • Familiarity with general office operations, maintenance terminology, and trades (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Painting, Carpentry, etc.).
  • At least 2 years of experience in a facilities maintenance role within an office setting.
  • Strong knowledge of office operations and maintenance terminology and trades.
  • Experience in interpreting floor plans.
