Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the service and distribution departments, ensuring timely completion of tasks and adherence to company standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, serving as the primary point of contact for location employees and customers.
  • Ensure compliance with established company processes, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including ASTM and OSHA standards.
  • Maintain open communication with facility department leads, ensuring all departments meet expectations and goals.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to drive business growth and development for the facility.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, visiting existing and potential customers to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of paperwork, including purchase orders and prints, and enter relevant information into the ERP system.
  • Collaborate with accounting and purchasing to ensure prompt vendor payment and accurate inventory management.
  • Assist department leads with employee timekeeping and scheduling, ensuring accurate records and compliance with company policies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including packing lists and vendor AP invoice verification.
  • Ensure compliance with inventory-related activities, including cycle count programs, to minimize inventory gains and losses.

Requirements:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and team members.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to interpret operational data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of inventory management, accounting, and purchasing principles.
  • Experience in supervisory roles, with a strong background in leadership and team management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with sales and quotations, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the repair or maintenance of specialized equipment, including breakers, capstan hoists, compression tools, and more.
  • Knowledge of rubber goods testing, fiberglass tool and equipment restoration, and ground and jumper cable testing and manufacturing.
  • Experience in inventory management, with a strong understanding of cycle count programs and inventory-related activities.

Working Conditions:

The Facilities Manager will work in a warehouse setting, with occasional exposure to bright lights, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, gas, and/or fumes. The ability to bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds is required, with occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, as well as some climbing and balancing.
