Your New Role
This position is integral to overseeing the production incentive process for episodic television across various domestic jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Advise budget teams on estimating incentives for different jurisdictions and ensure accurate budget calculations.
  • Research applicable regulations to confirm project eligibility for incentives, maintaining communication with stakeholders and monitoring compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain and regularly update the internal database for tracking incentives.
  • Prepare necessary documentation, applications, and registrations for various production incentive programs.
  • Manage timelines and expectations regarding production incentive receivables.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (Finance, Tax, Legal, Business Affairs, Post, etc.) on project-specific incentive issues.
  • Provide guidance to Production Accounting on all matters related to incentives.
  • Engage with international consultants and service providers regarding production incentives.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects and analyses as needed.
Qualifications and Experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, tax, or finance is required.
  • Experience in production accounting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with production incentives is a plus.
  • Understanding of the production process is advantageous.
  • A Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably in Accounting.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with personnel at all levels.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Independent work ethic to achieve set goals.
  • Analytical and advanced Excel skills are essential.
  • Interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills (both written and verbal) are crucial.
  • Experience with PSL, Smart Accounting, and Vista is a plus.
