Your New Role
This position reports to the Director of Audit & By-Title Reporting and will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and oversight of Network audits for WBTV Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Negotiate audit settlements with the networks to ensure timely and accurate resolution of audit findings.
- Maintain a license fee tracking schedule to ensure all revenue is captured and accurately reported.
- Prepare audit materials to facilitate timely audits for assigned networks, including review of license agreements and related correspondence.
- Calculate Union Escalations to bill to the networks and ensure accurate billing summaries for auditable items.
- Review and respond to audit requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain a system of organization to monitor audits from fieldwork through settlement, identifying and escalating issues in a timely manner.
- Perform ad hoc analysis and special projects as needed to support the team's goals and objectives.
- Audit costs for shows produced by co-producers and document each audit for future reference and risk/valuation assessment.
Qualifications and Experience
- 2 years of relevant experience in accounting, audit, finance, or a related field.
- Entertainment industry experience preferred, with a strong understanding of movie and television production accounting.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Proficiency with core Office 365 tools, including OneNote and SharePoint.
- Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills, with the ability to interact professionally with outside auditors and all levels of management.
- Ability to read and understand legal agreements and financial reports.
