Your New Role

This position reports to the Director of Audit & By-Title Reporting and will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and oversight of Network audits for WBTV Group. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data, identifying areas for improvement, and developing strategies to optimize financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Negotiate audit settlements with the networks to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Maintain a license fee tracking schedule to ensure all revenue is captured and accurately reflected in financial statements.
  • Prepare audit materials to facilitate timely audits for assigned networks, including reviewing and analyzing financial data, identifying areas for improvement, and developing strategies to optimize financial performance.
  • Review license agreements and related correspondence to ensure billings are complete and accurate, and prepare billing summaries for auditable items.
  • Calculate Union Escalations to bill to the networks, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Review and respond to audit requests, providing timely and accurate information to ensure smooth audit processes.
  • Maintain a system of organization to monitor audits from fieldwork through settlement, identifying and escalating issues in a timely manner.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and special projects as needed, providing insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.
  • Audit costs for shows produced by co-producers, ensuring accurate and complete financial reporting.
  • Document each audit to be used as reference for future audits and risk/valuation assessment.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 2 years of relevant experience in accounting, audit, finance, or a related field.
  • Entertainment industry experience preferred, with a strong understanding of financial reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Movie/Television production accounting experience a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting.
  • Proficiency with core Office 365 tools (OneNote, SharePoint).
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with outside auditors and all levels of management.
  • Ability to read and understand legal agreements, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
