The Assistant Manager of Front Office Operations will oversee the front desk personnel, manage cash handling for agents, address staffing requirements, and enhance guest services. Additional duties may encompass training, staff development, and scheduling. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Supervise Front Desk personnel: recruitment, termination, performance assessments, training, and professional growth. Schedule staff in accordance with labor standards and anticipated occupancy levels.
  • Uphold guest service quality standards. Contribute to the profitability and guest satisfaction perception of other hotel divisions. Elevate guest satisfaction through improved service delivery, employee development, and quality assurance.
  • Meet budgeted revenue and expense targets while maximizing profitability within the guest services department.
  • Formulate short-term and long-term financial and operational strategies for the guest service department that align with the hotel's overall objectives. Engage in the annual hotel budget preparation.
  • Oversee the reservation process to ensure optimal room occupancy and average daily rates through effective suggestive selling techniques by staff.
  • Implement procedures for credit control and the management of financial transactions, ensuring the security of funds, guest safety, and emergency protocols.
  • Address guest complaints related to the department and ensure appropriate corrective measures are taken.
  • Ensure staff employs effective guest interaction skills. Recognize and reward employees who meet or exceed guest expectations.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.
