Position Overview

Under the general guidance of the Assistant Dean for MBA Student Affairs and the Senior Director of Student Life, the Senior Program Manager of Student Life, MBA Student Affairs is tasked with overseeing and managing student extracurricular and academic programs for a cohort of over 700 full-time MBA students. This role is pivotal in supporting the objectives of the Full-Time MBA program.

The Senior Program Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and assessment of student activities, ensuring adherence to university policies and standards. This position also serves as a representative of MBA Student Affairs to both the administration and the broader community, making critical decisions in the absence of the Assistant Dean.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Acting as an administrative liaison to student organizations and governing bodies.
  2. Facilitating internal and external communications for MBA Student Affairs.
  3. Providing comprehensive counseling services to all full-time MBA students.
  4. Supporting the management of significant MBA Student Affairs events, including orientations, workshops, and year-end celebrations.

Qualifications
  • Three to five years of experience in student affairs within a large academic institution (preferred).
  • Experience in website design and management (preferred).
  • In-depth knowledge of university database systems (preferred).
  • Proficiency in utilizing various social media platforms (required).
  • Strong listening and conflict resolution skills to engage with students and faculty professionally (required).
  • Cross-cultural awareness to effectively interact with a diverse student body (required).
  • Familiarity with university policies related to student and academic affairs, with a commitment to confidentiality (required).
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment and build strong relationships with stakeholders (required).
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills for conveying complex information clearly (required).
  • Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with high-level administrators and corporate representatives (required).
  • Capability to analyze challenges, propose solutions, and act independently (required).
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail (required).
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed, with a focus on prioritizing tasks effectively (required).
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities (required).
  • Advanced proficiency in PC and Mac software, including Microsoft Suite and various database tools (required).
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain effective relationships with diverse constituencies (required).
Employment Conditions

Work Schedule

Standard working hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM.
