Position Overview: Reporting to the Associate Provost for Teaching and Learning and Dean of Faculty, the Senior Manager will oversee daily operations, administrative tasks, and project management for departments focused on educational resources. Responsibilities include event planning, communication management, report generation, record maintenance, and content updates on internal platforms. This role serves as the primary contact for students, faculty, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Support - 30%

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support, enhancing operational procedures and drafting correspondence for faculty, staff, and students.
  • Assist in strategic planning and management for Teaching and Learning, including tracking objectives and progress.
  • Draft detailed correspondence and maintain departmental documents.
  • Coordinate meetings, travel arrangements, and expense reports for the Associate Provost and Dean of Faculty.
  • Manage departmental calendars and track vendor purchases and expenses.
  • Prepare payment requests and maintain organized digital records.
  • Ensure a safe work environment in collaboration with the department of environmental health and safety.
Project Management Support - 20%
  • Coordinate project assignments, track reports, and manage deadlines for ongoing initiatives.
  • Document meeting minutes and follow up on action items.
  • Support event logistics, including AV, catering, and signage for departmental events.
Educational Support - 40%
  • Facilitate Faculty Orientation processes and maintain communication with new faculty.
  • Collaborate with the Center for Educational Effectiveness to support syllabus reviews and evaluations.
  • Assist in maintaining the faculty handbook and related policy documents.
Additional Responsibilities - 10%
  • Foster collaborations with various departments to enhance student experiences.
  • Engage in professional development and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of administrative support experience in progressively responsible roles.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in art or related field.
  • Experience in higher education and a background in art and design.
