Position Overview

Under the general guidance of the Assistant Dean for MBA Student Affairs and the Senior Director of Student Life, the Senior Program Manager of Student Life for MBA Student Affairs is tasked with overseeing and managing student extracurricular and academic initiatives for a cohort of over 700 full-time MBA students. This role is pivotal in supporting the objectives of the Full-Time MBA program.

The Senior Program Manager is accountable for the planning, execution, and assessment of student activities, ensuring adherence to institutional policies, procedures, and standards. In the absence of the Assistant Dean, this position holds the authority to make critical decisions and represent MBA Student Affairs to both the administration and the broader community.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Acting as the primary administrative liaison for student organizations and student governance.
  2. Facilitating internal and external communications for MBA Student Affairs.
  3. Providing general support and guidance to all full-time MBA students.
  4. Coordinating major MBA Student Affairs events, including orientations, workshops, and year-end celebrations.

Qualifications
  • Three to five years of experience in student affairs within a large, multifaceted academic institution (Preferred).
  • Experience in website design and management (Preferred).
  • Thorough understanding of University database systems (Preferred).
  • Proficiency in utilizing various social media platforms (Required).
  • Strong listening and conflict resolution skills to engage with students, faculty, and alumni in a professional manner (Required).
  • Cross-cultural sensitivity and awareness to effectively interact with a diverse population (Required).
  • Familiarity with University policies and procedures related to student and academic affairs, with a commitment to confidentiality (Required).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build effective relationships with students and faculty (Required).
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, to convey complex information clearly and diplomatically (Required).
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with various stakeholders, including senior administrators and corporate representatives (Required).
  • Analytical skills to identify problems, propose solutions, and take decisive action (Required).
  • Excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines (Required).
  • Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds (Required).
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends (Required).
