Job Description:

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in a Systems Engineering team focused on the design, development, implementation, testing, and training of command and control systems tailored for our military personnel.


This position is part of the Space & Airborne Systems (SAS) division, which is comprised of a talented group of professionals with exceptional technical skills who thrive in a collaborative engineering environment.

In this role, you will leverage your systems engineering expertise to influence programs and projects that are vital to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Examine electrical components, control systems, and interfaces of both custom and commercial products utilized in communication systems.
  • Assess system requirements to determine performance and capacity needs, as well as costs associated with development, repair, or replacement of system components.
  • Propose and specify modifications and replacements for systems and components to fulfill identified requirements.
  • Evaluate systems and recommend design changes or repairs as necessary.
  • Develop maintenance and testing protocols for electronic components and systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Draft procedures for testing various specifications on Receive and Transmit loop backs, Low Noise Amplifiers, Pre-Amplifiers, High Power Amplifiers, Frequency Converters, and Frequency Synthesizers.
  • Conduct RF/Microwave device testing and evaluation, including s-parameter and large signal characterization, as well as modulated signal measurements.
  • Select appropriate equipment and construct test setups to assess designs against specifications.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, effectively communicating policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Identify opportunities for substantial improvements to systems and processes to enhance job performance.
  • Address complex problem-solving scenarios that may require extensive information gathering and analysis.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields, accompanied by a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience. Alternatively, a Graduate Degree with at least 7 years of related experience, or 13 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

Experience in SATCOM or RF technologies is essential.

Active TS/SCI Security Clearance is required.


Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in customer engagement and presentation development.
  • Ability to perform cascade/link budget analysis, including Gain, Noise Figure, Noise Power, 3rd order Intercept Point, output power, EIRP, etc.
  • Familiarity with commercial system design and analysis tools (e.g., MagicDraw, ADS, Genesys, CST, MATLAB, Python, Excel).
  • Knowledge of system requirements.
  • Capability to assess and guide make/buy decisions and select strategic suppliers.
