Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

The C2BMC National Team is dedicated to providing innovative technical solutions to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) under the Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) Contract. This role is essential in integrating various sensors and weapon systems, ensuring a cohesive defense strategy against diverse threats throughout all flight phases.

The selected candidate will join the Cyber and Platform (CAP) Information Technology team, collaborating closely with senior system administrators and government network experts to manage and maintain network components that support vital operations.


Essential Qualifications:
  • Proficient communication skills, with a strong ability to present ideas clearly using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio.
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment alongside other skilled network engineers.
  • Familiarity with network communication technologies, including routers, switches, firewalls, Domain Name Servers (DNS), and data encryption solutions.
  • Consistent and reliable attendance is mandatory.

Technical Expertise:

Applicants should possess a solid understanding of network architecture, engineering, design, implementation, and testing. Knowledge of network communication protocols and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) is essential, along with experience in IP network troubleshooting. A foundational grasp of network testing methodologies utilizing routers, switches, and firewalls is required. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of TCP/IP behavior, network communications, and possess troubleshooting experience in network traffic analysis.

Applicants must meet the minimum criteria of DOD 8570 IAT II certification, holding any of the following certifications: Security +, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP.


Preferred Qualifications:

While not mandatory, the following experiences are advantageous:

  • Prior knowledge of C2BMC networks or associated organizations.
  • Experience with protocol analyzers/sniffers (e.g., Wireshark).
  • Familiarity with Network Management Systems (e.g., HP Network Node Manager, Solarwinds) or NAS/SAN technologies (e.g., NetApp, Gigastore).
  • Certifications from industry leaders such as Juniper or Cisco.

Educational Background:

A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry is required, along with typically 5 or more years of relevant experience. Alternatively, a Master's degree with 3 or more years of experience or a PhD with experience in an engineering classification is acceptable.


Work Schedule:

This position operates on a full-time basis, with first shift hours from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM, following a 4/10 work schedule.
