Job Description:
As a Senior Systems Engineering Lead, you will play a pivotal role in a Systems Engineering team focused on the development of requirements, design, implementation, testing, and training for advanced radar systems, command and control systems, extensive IT infrastructures, and ground systems that support our defense operations.
This position is part of the Space & Airborne Systems (SAS) division, which comprises a team of skilled professionals with exceptional technical expertise who thrive on collaboration and teamwork.
Our organization has a rich history of innovation and outstanding performance, solidifying our reputation as a reliable partner to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Familiarity with North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex (NCMC) – Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (NCMC-ITW/AA) and Space Support, along with operations, sustainment, modernization, mission, and requirements.
- Execute the functions of a Senior Systems Engineer, including:
- Developing technical solutions for the program.
- Engaging with customers and stakeholders.
- Preparing and delivering presentations to internal leadership and external clients.
- Establish technical baselines and reference architectures for standardized designs and solutions.
- Conduct comprehensive Systems Engineering and Integration for NCMC ITW/AA technology maturation, design, development, prototyping, demonstration, and testing.
- Support mission operations, wargaming, exercises, testing, modeling, and simulation.
- Effectively integrate, manage, and communicate across all technical domains.
- Design, develop, integrate, operate, and maintain secure and reliable information management architectures and infrastructures for mission systems, ensuring continuous operational readiness.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of sustaining, maintaining, and modernizing large, complex infrastructures and systems.
- Previous experience in defining technical approaches for customer requirements and implementing solutions.
- Experience in decomposing Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements into testable criteria.
- Background in developing basis of estimates and Bill of Materials for project scope.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with at least 7 years of related experience. Alternatively, a minimum of 13 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
Active Secret Security Clearance Required
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Systems Integration experience for IT systems and system upgrades, including CI/CD and development environments specific to N2C2 architecture and systems.
- Experience in developing Bill of Materials for hardware/software related items.
- Familiarity with Combatant Commanders Integrated Space Command and Control (CCIC2S) System and associated subsystems, Legacy Space, Global Command and Control System (GCCS-J), and others.
- Proficiency in Windows Server, Solaris, Redhat Linux, VMWare, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience as a lead or integral team member defining solutions and technical approaches to customer-defined requirements.
- Strong background in N2C2 systems and the ITW/AA enterprise; understanding of operational and strategic levels of Command and Control.
- Experience as an Agile Release Train Engineer and Product Owner.
- Experience supporting DoD/government clients.
- Familiarity with Agile development principles and space mission operations.
- Systems Integration and system testing experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build teams with external entities.
