Job Summary

KBR is seeking a highly experienced Senior Systems Engineer to support the U.S. Space Force mission of delivering warfighter capability in a relevant timeline.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide systems engineering expertise across the entire lifecycle from concept development to operations.
  • Provide technical oversight of development efforts, including design, development, manufacturing, assembly, integration, test, production, and sustainment.
  • Develop operational concepts, requirements, and architectural designs, and evolve system architectures.
  • Conduct model-based systems engineering, modeling, simulation, and analysis as needed.
  • Conduct and maintain Configuration Management of the program technical baseline.
  • Manage risk management processes and methods for identifying and adjudicating program risk.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering, mathematics, physics, or equivalent technical discipline, and twelve (12) or more years of systems engineering and integration-related experience for a DoD acquisition program.
  • Experience with the Space Control mission area, especially offensive and defensive systems.
  • Expertise in space control systems engineering processes and procedures, including requirements development, configuration control, and Government Deficiency Review (DR) board establishment, execution, and disposition.
  • Skilled in identifying system and/or project challenges and identifying viable courses of action to mitigate those challenges.
  • Demonstrates ability to organize and conduct ACAT-like technical design reviews and audits.
  • Self-starter with exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Collaborative and works seamlessly with a multi-disciplined engineering team.
  • Ability to develop, update, and coordinate ACAT-like program documentation.
  • Active TS SCI clearance.
  • Must be amenable to be nominated for Special Access Programs.
Desired Qualifications
  • Master's degree in an engineering, mathematics, physics, or equivalent technical discipline, and ten (10) or more years of systems engineering and integration-related experience for a DoD acquisition program.
  • Experience working in an acquisition development environment.
  • Professional certification (e.g., Professional Engineer, INCOSE CSEP, ITEA CTEP, Agile PM/PO, etc).
Compensation and Benefits

KBR offers a competitive salary range of $150,000 to $175,000 for El Segundo and $135,000 to $160,000 for Colorado Springs. Additional compensation may be offered in the form of bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation. KBR also offers a selection of competitive lifestyle benefits, including a 401K plan with company match, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, flexible spending account, disability, paid time off, and flexible work schedule.
