Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team at Superior Farms, the leader in the American lamb industry. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the administration of all human resources and safety operations at our processing facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement HR Strategies: Collaborate with our management team to foster a positive culture and enhance employee engagement, contributing to improved business results.
  • Drive Change and Innovation: Act as a change agent and support process improvement efforts to cultivate an environment that promotes organizational efficiency, effective communication, and mutual understanding.
  • Employee Relations and Development: Engage with managers and plant personnel to ensure successful implementation of HR solutions and resolution of critical people and business issues.
  • Recruitment and Selection: Employ innovative and creative sourcing and recruiting techniques to effectively manage diverse plant positions.
  • Training and Development: Plan and conduct new employee orientation programs and deliver training programs to ensure their effective implementation and comprehension in a bilingual manufacturing environment.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Stay updated on legal requirements and government reporting regulations that impact HR functions, ensuring policies, procedures, and reporting practices are in compliance.
  • Performance Management and Appraisal: Lead the performance management and appraisal process, ensuring its consistency and fairness across the plant.
  • Safety and Security: Implement and monitor the company's safety procedures and policies, taking proactive measures to promote safety throughout the plant.
  • Employee Separations and Investigations: Prepare employee separation notices and related documentation, conduct exit interviews, and analyze separation reasons.
  • HR Operations and Administration: Maintain the accuracy and completeness of all personnel files and manage OSHA logs in collaboration with the insurance company and plant management.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Language Skills: Must fluently read, write, and speak in English AND Spanish.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Must be able to interface well with all employees of the Company and to represent the Company in a highly professional manner.
  • Certifications and Licenses: PHR/SPHR Certification preferred.
